Beavers

About Beavers

The Beaver Colony is the first and youngest section of the Scout Group. Beaver Scouts are young people aged between 6 and 8 years old.

At 1st St Margarets, our Beavers meet weekly on Wednesdays 6pm-7pm at All Souls Church Hall, North St Margarets. Our Beaver Scout Leader is Ossie Stanley.

The Beaver Scout Promise

There are a number of variations of the Beaver Scout Promise to reflect the range of faiths, beliefs and attitudes, and nationalities, in the UK within Scouting.  The traditional Beaver Scout Promise is:

I promise to do my best
To be kind and helpful
And to love God.

Further information about the Promise in Scouting can be found here.  Please speak to your Beaver Scout Leader if you have any questions about the Promise or if your child would like to use one of the alternatives for their investiture ceremony.

The Beaver Scout Law

There is no formal Beaver Scout Law. The concepts expressed in the Scout Law are presented to Beaver Scouts through games, storytelling and other informal activities.
