About Cubs

The Cub Pack is the second section of the Scout Group following on from Beavers. Cub Scouts are young people aged between 8 and 10½.  A Cub Pack is organised into small groups called Sixes, each headed up by an older cub called a Sixer plus a Seconder.

At 1st St Margarets, our Cubs meet weekly on Wednesdays 6pm-7.30pm at St Stephen’s School Hall, Chertsey Road. Our Cub Scout Leader is Martyn Day

The Cub Scout Promise

There are a number of variations of the Cub Scout Promise to reflect the range of faiths, beliefs and attitudes, and nationalities, in the UK within Scouting. The traditional Cub Scout Promise is:

I promise that I will do my best to do my duty to God
and to the Queen,
to help other people
and to keep the Cub Scout Law.

Further information about The Promise in Scouting can be found here.  Please speak to your Cub Scout Leader if you have any questions about the Promise or if your child would like to use one of the alternatives for their investiture ceremony.

The Cub Scout Law

Cub Scouts always do their best
Think of others before themselves
And do a good turn every day.
